Fantastic Friday: Karen Klein Edition

I’m sure some of you heard about or saw the video of the bus monitor from Greece, NY being verbally abused and taunted by middle schoolers on their way home from school.  It’s been known that teenagers can be cruel, and I was certainly no exception when I was growing up, but this was still shocking and disturbing.  What’s worse, is that it’s highly doubtful that it was the first time the bus monitor, Karen Klein, had been subjected to this abuse.  Here’s the video if you haven’t seen it before…

So, what could possibly be uplifting or inspiring about that?

Well, a couple of good people started a indie gogo campaign to raise money to send Karen Klein on a vacation.  They placed a goal on the campaign of $5K.  That would be quite the vacation indeed…

So I’m told to check the indie gogo page yesterday and the campaign had raised $260K. I check back today and it’s about to cross $500K.

Here’s the link if you want to provide your support as well: http://www.indiegogo.com/loveforkarenhklein

Forget a vacation.  How about a vacation home…

…and retirement from dealing with those spoiled brats.

Have a Fantastic Friday everyone!
